from Freeport ABATE
The purpose of this site is to inform and enlighten fellow riders about our chapter here in Northwest Illinois. Currently our chapter has over 300 members and we are still growing. This site will grow in time to include more information as well as photos about our chapter, its' members and activities to promote a safe and unrestricted motorcycling environment in Illinois as well as across the country. Our monthly meetings are the 3rd Sunday of every month with the exception of July when we don't meet. Starting this October through May we meet at Logan's Bar & Grill in Freeport Illinois. June through September we meet at the Pecatonica Wetlands about a mile north and west of Pecatonica Illinois. Meetings start at 12:30 sharp and we try to not let them go longer than two hours. We cover a lot of information at our meetings and encourage you to join us. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend our August meeting as it is our family picnic. Children are most welcome and we have special activities to keep them occupied during the meeting. Safety is a key initiative of ABATE. We encourage all members and non-members alike to ride safely. Special thanks to all who supported me for President in 2010. I will do my best to represent the chapter as I have in the past. Thanks for your paticipation in one of the most active chapters in Illinois. To better serve the Freeport Chapter, we are asking for input from you the member. Please take a little time and answer five quick questions about YOUR Chapter. You can mail them in or send your opinions via e-mail or even post them to the Guest Book if you like. Our winter meeting location is now at Logan's Bar & Grill located in Freeport IL on Rt. 26 south side of town across from the K-Mart plaza.
