Mission Statement
The Mission of A.B.A.T.E. is to
preserve the universal right to a safe,
unrestricted, motorcycling environment.
A.B.A.T.E. OF ILLINOIS is a neutral non-profit organization that allows all riders to unite in
A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education.
A.B.A.T.E. OF ILLINOIS works to safeguard our motorcycling rights, while allowing us to be individuals with different
views.
A.B.A.T.E. OF ILLINOIS' main concern is putting motorcycle legislation in its proper perspective. This is being accomplished
though motorcycle safety education programs, public awareness programs, and other programs designed to prevent injury or fatal
accidents to motorcyclists.
A.B.A.T.E. OF ILLINOIS keeps the legislature informed of our position on legislation that is unfair or discriminatory
towards motorcyclists.
A.B.A.T.E. OF ILLINOIS works closely with motorcycle rights organizations across the nation to stop discriminatory legislation
aimed at all motorcyclists.

There are thousands of organizations, each with a specific purpose or goal. There are so many reasons why one should consider
becoming part of an organization he or she believes in. By becoming a member of A.B.A.T.E you help protect your motorcyle
rights and those of all who ride. Acting on our behalf in Springfield, A.B.A.T.E State and Regional Representatives make
sure our voices are heard when legislation directed towards motorcycle helmet laws, road uses, off-road issues are discussed
and voted on.

We invite you to visit us or attend an event. Freeport A.B.A.T.E meetings are generally held on the third Sunday of each month
at P.J.'s in Freeport, IL. Our members are happy to answer any questions you may have about the organization and how you
can join. Check our calendar of events for specific dates and times. We put together lots of fun activities throughout
the year.
